Inkster Public Housing - Capital Needs Assessment TEC was awarded a contracted to develop a comprehensive Facilities Assessment and Capital Needs Program for the City of Inkster’s Public Housing, which dates back to the late 1940s. This assessment will provide the Inkster Housing Commission (IHC) with an inventory and condition status of all their property components -- from sidewalks to heating systems and microwave ovens to roofs. Equally, if not more important, it will present a projection of capital needs for the next 20 years. IHC plans to use this data to acquire funding, which will allow them to put the Commission’s buildings in a “like-new” condition and provide defined annual capital budget funding for the next 20 years. The Executive Director for the Inkster Housing Commission (IHC) says that the City has a mission to keep public housing well maintained so that it will attract more residents. With TEC’s assistance, the IHC is in a better position to accomplish their projected goals. Back to Projects - Back to Building & Infrastructure
